Shipping Policy

 

This Shipping Policy must be read in conjunction with our Website Terms of Use and our Terms & Conditions of Sale (together with the documents referred to on them).

 

By ordering from our website, you accept this Shipping Policy.

 

While we will aim to despatch your order within 2 working days of cleared payment this cannot be guaranteed. We will despatch your order within 28 days of receiving full cleared full payment. If we are unable to despatch your order within 28 days of receiving full cleared payment we will cancel and then refund your order.

 

If we offer a shipping service of "Free Standard Delivery" then the method of shipping is entirely at our discretion. If we indicate that to benefit from a choice of "Free Standard Delivery" the order value must exceed a threshold then this refers to the amount of the order that is payable by you AFTER any discounts have been applied.  Different thresholds might apply for different delivery destinations.  If offered, you do not have to use "Free Standard Delivery" but instead can select a paid for alternative.  If you wish to use a "Free Standard Delivery" offer then you might need to select it as an option from the dropdown menu in your Shopping Cart.

 

Shipping costs can include a contribution to the cost of packaging.

 

The shipping cost will increase according to the total shipping weight (i.e., including packaging) and selected delivery option (if available) but please note that at our discretion packages might be shipped using a ‘signed for’ service.  As surfacemail and airmail are both limited to 2kg per package, overseas orders that exceed these limits must be split by us into multiple packages.

 

We do try to ensure that all shipping costs are accounted for when an order is placed but in the event of unanticipated costs we will endeavour to contact you for payment authorisation or order cancellation. 

 

We cannot control and are not responsible for the length of time it takes for our UK shipping agent(s) or for intermediate or for your local carrier(s) to deliver your package.

 

For orders that are shipped overseas, we cannot advise on and are not responsible (i) for any additional taxes or duties or charges that might be incurred on importation to your destination country, or (ii) the legality of your import and any likelihood of custom seizure or other consequences.

 

This Shipping Policy does not affect your statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way does it seek to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or fraud.

 

Any changes we make to our Shipping Policy will be posted on this website, which please check from time to time. Your continued use of this website will be deemed to signify your acceptance to any changes to our Shipping Policy.

 

The Shipping Policy was changed on 10th December 2014.

 

The following is not part of our Shipping Policy but is included here for your information:

 

While we regret that we are unable to ship to all destinations, if your location isn’t presently available (can be checked via “Register”), then please contact us and we will see what we can do.

 

Royal Mail is our principal shipping agent and while we cannot control the length of time it takes for them, intermediate or your local carrier to deliver your package, Royal Mail indicate* the following timescales:

 

UK First Class:
~ Aims to deliver the working day after posting, including Saturday

 

UK Second Class:
~ Usually delivered within three working days after posting

 

UK Standard Parcels:
~ Usually delivered by the third working day after posting, including Saturdays

 

Europe:
~ The day after posting, it usually takes three more days to reach Western Europe and five days to Eastern Europe

 

Rest of World Airmail:
~ The day after posting, it usually takes seven days to reach the rest of the world

 

Rest of World Surfacemail:
~ North America will take up to 6 weeks, South America, Africa and Asia up to 8 weeks, and Australasia up to 12 weeks

 

Europe with International Signed For:
~ Aim is for three working days to Western Europe, five working days to Eastern Europe

Rest of World Airmail with International Signed For:
~ Aim is for seven working days

 

Rest of World Surfacemail with International Signed For:
~ May take up to twelve weeks

 

Royal Mail also indicates* that items sent by 1st Class, 2nd Class, Standard Parcels and Recorded Signed For are not classed as lost until 15 working days after the due date, while for Airmail loss claims should not be submitted until after 20 working days for items to Europe and after 25 working days for Rest of the World (*At October 2012 per Royal Mail website, www.royalmail.com, which please check for more current information).
